According to Mr. Horace Butler, there were two logging landings in Bladen County. International Paper Co. had a pulp wood landing above Elizabethtown. These logs went on to the mill in Georgetown, SC by way of the Intercoastal Waterway. Southern Box - Plywood Co. had a veneer landing. These logs went to the mill in Wilmington.
